Explore byssus after it has been transformed from loose natural fibres into a compact panel.

The 10 × 10 × 1 cm sample provides a tactile introduction to the material used at the core of Seastex's acoustic products, allowing designers, architects and material researchers to experience its natural colour, texture, density and structure.

The sample is presented within a reusable stainless-steel puzzle-box-style casing designed and fabricated by Seastex. Remove one of the two screws using the supplied Allen key to access and examine the byssus panel.
